Don’t regret; rather respond

“Chasing after the poisonous snake that bites us will only drive the poison through our entire system. It is far better to take measure immediately to get the poison out.”

This is a quote from a book I’m currently reading, and the chapter is on knowing what you can and can not control (Circle of Influence vs. Circle of Concern). Consequences and mistakes are 2 things which you cannot control. You can control your behaviors and actions, but the consequence that follows is out of your control. But what you CAN control and what DOES matter is how you respond to these 2 things. Like the quote says, you can either complain about the situation or do something unproductive, or you can respond in the most proactive way possible to turn things around. Let’s start taking control of our lives.
